Cloud queue management

The queue system you switch on from a browser.

Monitor, ticket kiosk and staff desk run on any screen with a browser. No on-site server, no technician visit: you pay a subscription, not for an installation.

Why Virgil

Try it here: print and call.

Take a ticket from the kiosk, then call it from the staff desk. The monitor updates at the same moment, just like in the waiting room.

      Waiting room statistics

They update with what you do above, just like in the Virgil dashboard. They start from a few sample tickets.

From the dashboard to the first number called, in an afternoon.

Nothing to install on your premises. You set everything up in the web dashboard and connect each device with a link.

      1. Create services and desks

In the web dashboard you define the queues at your location, the desks and what each screen shows.

      2. Open the link on the device

Each screen gets a signed, single-use link. Open it once and the device stays connected to your account.

      3. Call the first number

The customer takes a ticket at the kiosk, staff press “Call” and the monitor announces it, with a chime or a voice.

Everything a waiting room needs, nothing more.

Three components that talk to each other in real time, from the same account.

Monitor, kiosk and staff desk, in sync instantly

The kiosk issues the ticket, staff call it from their PC and the monitor shows it at the same moment. The call can play a chime or read the number aloud, with the wording you choose.

      • Calls with a chime or text-to-speech
      • Text placeholders: service, number, desk, date, time
      • Numbering that restarts every morning

More queues, more desks, more locations

Each location has its own services and screens, and you manage them all from one dashboard. If a customer is in the wrong queue, staff move them to another one and they keep their number.

      • Move a ticket to another queue and keep its number
      • Pause and resume a service with one click
      • Staff can print on behalf of the kiosk

In control even when you're away from the desk

See in real time if a printer is offline or out of paper, before the queue notices. Statistics show when the peaks arrive and how long customers wait.

      • Live printer status
      • Statistics on tickets and waiting times
      • One device per component: no duplicate screens
      Digital signage
The monitor alternates numbers with announcements, promotions and notices.

Use the screens you already have.

Virgil doesn't sell hardware. Any screen with a browser can become a monitor, a kiosk or a staff desk.

      Monitor
Any TV or screen connected to a PC, to an Android box or with a built-in browser.
      Kiosk
An Android tablet or a touch PC. If you want paper tickets, an 80 mm ESC/POS thermal printer.
      Staff desk
The PC already on the counter, in the browser. Nothing to install.
      Kiosk apps
Android app and PC client for screens that must stay on, full screen, all day.

      A subscription, not an installation.

Traditional queue systems are bought once and grow old on your premises. Virgil lives in the cloud and keeps improving on its own.

Call a number, not a name.

Nobody in the waiting room hears anybody's name. Customers know when it's their turn, and their privacy stays at the desk. Each business keeps its data separate from everyone else's.

      Frequently asked questions

Can't find the answer? Write to us.

Do I need to buy hardware?

Not necessarily. The monitor is any TV or screen with a browser, the kiosk can be an Android tablet or a PC, and if you want paper tickets a standard ESC/POS thermal printer is enough. If you prefer, we'll suggest what to buy.

Do I need a technician to install it?

No. You set up services and screens in the web dashboard, then open on each device the connection link you generate there. For dedicated TVs and kiosks there's also the Android app and the desktop client, which load the same link.

What happens if the connection drops?

Virgil is a cloud service: monitors, kiosks and staff desks need the internet to talk to each other. When the connection comes back, the devices reconnect on their own.

      Can I manage several locations?

Yes. Each location has its own services, desks and screens, and you manage them all from the same account.

Can I customise what customers see?

Yes: colours, backgrounds, number of rows, call texts, voice or chime, and signage content between one call and the next. If you want to go further, you can edit the CSS.

      How much does it cost?

Virgil is paid as a subscription, with no system to buy. The price depends on how many queues, screens and locations you need: tell us about your situation and we'll make you an offer.

Let's see it on your screen.

Tell us how waiting works at your place: we'll show you Virgil set up for your location, with your services.
